Big changes

We've made big changes around here lately. We've taken the leap to homeschool. The three future greats were at a private school. We've not ever been opposed to homeschooling although I didn't think myself capable, number one; and number two, we were content with the private school.

God changed both circumstances. He moved my heart to seriously consider and desire a greater involvement in my son's schooling. He moved my husband's heart to seriously consider and desire a greater involvement in our son's schooling. And He allowed changes at the private school to occur that caused us both to desire a different environment. God is a God of big changes apparently.

At a Thanksgiving service at our church, my husband gave thanks for the changes citing that not only had God changed our hearts but He had allowed us to be just uncomfortable enough in present circumstances to also desire changes. God is the author of big changes obviously.

So now well supported by the research done into all the possibles of homeschooling, I'm depending on God for more big changes. Things like greater patience, greater self-discipline, greater time management, and greater appreciation for big changes. Well supported by church family and friends, I'm thankful for their prayers and practical help. Well supported by family, who while not completely sure of the outcome, are trusting in the time and effort we've taken to make this decision. Well supported, we move forward knowing that God will continue to make big changes.

Here's to serving a God of big changes!

I have been checking regularly to see if/when you might start posting again, and am glad to see that you have! For your sake - for your expression of self and those rare complete thoughts - and for mine - for my reading enjoyment and knowing more about what's going on in your life (since our chats are few and far between now-a-days).

Count me in on the support, and let me know what I can do to help....
